Corner House BBQ expanding with new Forest Avenue location

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Just three months after The Corner House BBQ’s grand opening in Grant City, the owners announce the restaurant’s third location.

And, he adds, the Forest Avenue Corner House will have “a carefully curated beer program and craft cocktails will be served in a fun and friendly environment.”

“We are incredibly excited to expand and be able to serve another one of Staten Island’s great neighborhoods!” enthused Botros.
“We felt instantly welcomed into the Grant City community and hope to feel the same love from West Brighton,” Botros said, adding, “We plan on serving the same delicious food and cocktails that have become wildly popular at our first location.”

Botros, so far, has built six food concepts on Staten Island starting with The Stone House at Clove Lakes, established in 2014. The Stone House’s restaurant-within-a-restaurant came later as “The Chef’s Loft,” an intimate dining space where Botros personally cooks for guests on a second floor balcony.
In 2016, he established Violette’s Cellar in Grant City which includes daily brunch, eclectic dinner dishes and a speakeasy called “The Button Room.”
The Corner House BBQ came about in April, 2018 at 100 Lincoln Avenue in Grant City. Just about a week later when wait times and lines out the door became overwhelming for that sit-down business model, Botros and his partners rented a building across the street and will soon open an “Express” version of Corner House with pick up and delivery options.
In late April, Botros additionally announced leasing space at Lighthouse Point, part of a development still in its early stages in St. George that should include his own food marketplace, a catering hall and restaurant called Gas Lamp.

Partners in the Forest Avenue venture include Phil Farinacci, a developer who co-owns Violette’s Cellar and the two other Corner House concepts.

Anthony Valois, also a partner, is the pit master at The Corner House BBQ. He crafted the restaurant’s original menu and recipes which spring from his tailgate-style catering company, “The Smoke Exchange.”

The building is former home to a rehab center.

This marks the seventh restaurant in a one-block stretch of Forest Avenue. Beginning with the longest established eateries, food and drink spots include Cafe Milano, Beans & Leaves coffee shop, Ho’Brah “A Taco Joint,” Better Health Gourmet, The Kettle Black and Baya Bar.
Botros said there will be “some off-street parking.”
